Missions Ministries

Missions Ministries proclaim the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to un-churched people throughout the world by coordinating and directing activities that lead Immanuel in reaching out to the world in Christ's name. Immanuel is committed to a wholistic Word and Deed approach to outreach. Word-oriented outreach ministries are supervised by the Elders; Deed-oriented outreach ministries are supervised by the Deacons.

Immanuel supports Missionaries from around the world. We strive for family-style intimacy with the missionaries that we support financially, encourages regular communications and personal visits, and adopt their outreach objectives

Short Term Missions Trips. Most recently we have had a trip to Bethel CRC that ministers to members of the Navajo Nation in New Mexico.

Missions Awareness to educate the congregation in world missions and promotes congregational prayer for world missions

Evangelism Training  to train and prepare members to share and defend their faith with neighbors, friends, relatives, and acquaintances.

Kids Hope is Immanuel’s local implementation of the international Kids Hope ministry. We work with Bauder Elementary School. Kids Hope provides inspiring mentor relationships for students—one child—one mentor—one hour.

Immanuel partners with Habitat for Humanity to build houses in partnership with families in need, giving them hope to rise above discouraging, ever-increasing housing costs by giving them a home where they can build a life.

Immanuel partners with Alpha Center, a nonprofit medical clinic in Fort Collins that provides compassionate, exceptional medical care to those in need of a pregnancy test, options education, STD screening, professional relationship counseling, and sexual health education.

The Immanuel Community Garden ministry reaches out to Immanuel neighborhood by providing community garden plots, gardening training, and fellowship opportunities between members of Immanuel and the local neighborhood.

The International Students, Inc. ministry is Immanuel’s support and participation in the work of ISI, a Christian ministry to international students and scholars studying at Colorado State University.

Immanuel helps support the local Reformed University Fellowship, a ministry to Colorado State University students.

The Community Outreach team plans and coordinates local outreach events and initiatives (e.g. special outreach events, community-wide events in cooperation with other churches, invite-a-friend challenges), and plans and coordinates various advertising and promotional avenues (local media ads, neighborhood mailings, social media, web site, etc.). This team also works with the Fellowship Team to follow-up on Immanuel visitors.
