Ministry Structure
The four ministry areas — worship, fellowship,
discipleship, outreach — provide
a framework for Christians to reach out to believers and nonbelievers
in an intentional, planned manner. By organizing our church's
resources around these four ministry
areas, and recognizing their interconnectedness, we can more be a more
relevant, effective agent of change. The goal of our church's
ministry is to serve and
equip people as the Holy Spirit calls them into increasing maturity
in the Christian faith.
Integrating these four ministries into
every aspect of Immanuel's church
life is an important process and one that will be implemented during
several years
of praying, preparing, implementing, evaluating and revising. The ministries
must be reflected in programming, scheduling, budgeting and staffing.
The
circular relationship we recognize in our ministries, and how they fulfill
our relationship
with Jesus Christ, is illustrated in the figure below.
